Academic Profile

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawing. I’ve spent the better part of my youth and young adult life searching for that “one great” drawing utensil. After many years I’ve concluded that the one in your hand at the moment, is the one!

I’ve been drawing and keeping sketchbooks of my cartoons for many years and I continue to do so. I’ve had a weekly editorial cartoon called “What the Pig Said,” and “4 Panels or Less” published in a weekly NJ newspaper for roughly 8 years in Union County and Middlesex County. I’ve had only one cartoon published in Playboy, July, of 2009 with the help of my mentor, Frank Thorne (famous for Red Sonja at Marvel Comics) I continue to study cartoonists from the syndicated newspapers, and I studied under Peter Kuper in the late 80s at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I currently make my living as a Graphic Artist for Collegiate Press which runs Copies Plus at Fairleigh Dickinson’s Florham Campus.
