Academic Profile

Sanjoy serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Public Health program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He mostly teaches PUBH 7202 to get students familiarized with the process of developing, conducting, and presenting their research. He is also a member of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Research Council.

In his day job, Sanjoy leads a global team at Johnson & Johnson that is focused on supporting the company’s future in robotic surgery and digital healthcare – including quantifying, communicating, and capturing value for patients, clinicians, payers, and society.

Earlier in his career, Sanjoy held several roles at other major multinational pharmaceutical companies such as  Abbvie and Eli Lilly including an expatriate Asia Pacific regional leadership role based in Singapore.

Currently, he is also a mentor for the MedTech Innovator Forum and a core member of the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC). In addition, Sanjoy is a Faculty Advisor to the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA) and has founded CREA Learning Academy a charitable educational institution for disadvantaged children in India.

Sanjoy earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Jadavpur University in India, a Master of Science in Health Outcomes Research and Policy from West Virginia University (WVU), a Professional Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard University, and a Certificate in Executive Presence from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sanjoy has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed research publications and abstracts and serves on the peer review and editorial boards of several scientific journals. He has received multiple academic and professional awards including induction to WVU School of Pharmacy Centennial Hall of Fame, the J&J Medical Devices Award for Scientific Excellence, and several J&J Standard of Leadership Awards.
