Academic Profile

Tina Alaimo LoPonte is an alumna of FDU, returning to her alma mater after a full-time career in Advertising and Marketing. Her teaching philosophy is focused on bringing real-life situations into the classroom, and melding communication theory with practical applications. She provides students with out-of-classroom experiential learning environments including attending and participating in TV shows in New York City, Paley Center for Media, theater, and live presentations. Her teaching areas include Advertising and Social Media, Professional Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Public Speaking. She is a faculty advisor to the Communication Honor Society and Residence Life Fellow for Linden 1. Her expertise is in Corporate Communication. She is a consultant for major corporations, providing strategic direction for social media advertising, public relations, sales promotion, marketing, package design, and business writing in all media formats. She assists clients in a variety of business writing and social media platforms, including career coaching, interviewing strategies, resume writing, cover letters, career development, marketing plans, public relations, and advertising copy.
