Academic Profile

Yoshiko DeMotta is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Silberman College of Business. She has taught courses on strategy and sustainability, among other marketing and business topics, at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels. Yoshiko’s research focuses on the areas of prosocial consumption, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Her work has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Marketing Letters, and Social Influence. She has received recognition for her research and teaching. In recent years, she was the recipient of the NJPRO Bright Ideas Award in 2018 and the Silberman College of Business Teacher of the Year Award in 2019. Prior to joining FDU, she worked in the private sector extensively as a researcher at Dentsu in New York.
