Welcome to the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University! I have come to recognize a common trait among our very diverse student populations - a steadfast determination to complete their studies and reach long-held educational goals.

I have come to recognize a common trait among our very diverse student populations, which is that they share a steadfast determination to complete their studies and reach long-held educational goals. Whether they have been away from the world of higher education for just a few months or many years, have found their place in the world and want to advance in it or are still in the process of discovering who they are and what it is they want to do with their lives, Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies students’ focus is on the future, and they are determined to do whatever it takes to turn their dreams into a reality.

Our mission at the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies is to provide the knowledge, skills, and academic credentials they – and you – need to do just that and to help change lives.

How do we do this? By offering a collection of targeted undergraduate, and high school programs that are specifically designed to meet your needs, no matter where you are in the learning cycle. We also do this by streamlining the admission process and making your entry or return to the world of higher education as seamless as possible. We take your life experiences into account and assist you in turning them into academic credit, allowing you to achieve your goals more quickly. We provide meaningful financial advisement that will help you understand and navigate the complexities of financial aid and take advantage of any and all University and government funding available to you. And we create a warm and welcoming learning environment where you will thrive and grow – both professionally and personally!

At the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies, you will receive a unique, streamlined, and hands-on educational experience that is sculpted to fit your individual needs. You will learn from outstanding faculty who possess first-hand experience in the role that you seek and have infused andragogy – also known as adult-focused pedagogy – into their curricula. And you will be joined in your educational pursuits by fellow students with goals similar to your own whose experiences will enhance your leaning and broaden your scope.

The pursuit of learning is lifelong. No matter where you are in your educational journey, it is never too late to pursue your goals and start living the life you are dreaming about! In fact, focusing on the future is a commonality we share with our students. We are in a period of reinvention and innovation at the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies, and are excited about what the future holds, both for the Center, and our students.

More than 15,000 students have chosen us to help their dreams take flight. I invite you to join them.

Again, welcome to the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies!
