Apply for Housing

A nonrefundable Residence Hall Deposit ($200) is required for first year and new students residents.

All First-Year and New Students

Applications for housing for first year and new students are due May 1 (Fall applicants) and December 1 (Spring applicants). Visit How To Apply for Housing for instructions on how to begin the Housing Application process.

Returning Resident Students

For Fall Housing, current resident students who plan to return to housing for the following academic year have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the Room Selection Process.

Commuter and Study Abroad Students

For Fall Housing, current FDU commuter and study abroad students who are interested in on-campus housing for the academic year are able to participate in the Room Selection Process, only if they are being pulled into a room, as a roommate, with a current resident. All applicants must meet the Housing Application deadline in order to participate in either Keep My Room Day or Priority Room Selection Day. Otherwise, both (or all three students, if the room is a triple) students are only able to select a room during the General Room Selection period.

Current FDU commuter & study abroad students who are not eligible to participate in Keep My Room Day or Priority Room Selection, will have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the General Room Selection.

For Spring Housing, current FDU commuter and study abroad students who are interested in on-campus housing apply for housing via MyHousing.

Housing Modification Requests

Students with disabilities that require a specific type of housing assignment to ensure equal access to the housing program may request a housing modification via the Office of Disability Support Services.
