Entrance Requirements
Applicants from Secondary Schools in British Columbia
You are required to complete an approved provincially examinable Grade 12 program leading to graduation with British Columbia Certificate of Graduation or “Dogwood Diploma” prior to starting your degree program at the Vancouver Campus.

Admission requirement varies by province. Please provide the Admissions Office with a copy of your current transcripts for preliminary assessment. The Admissions Office can be reached at 604-648-8112 by phone or vancouver-admissions@fdu.edu by email.
Recommendations
Two letters of recommendation are required. For students currently enrolled in a school or post-secondary institution, at least one must be written by a teacher or school counselor. If the applicant has been out of school for several years, a recommendation from an employer may be submitted. All letters of recommendation should be written on letterhead stationery and submitted to the Admission Office either directly from the recommender or in sealed envelopes.
Advanced Standing
Students who complete College Board Advanced Placement courses or International Baccalaureate exams, students with GCE A-level courses and students who have taken coursework at another university or college may be eligible for credit transfer. Please submit all relevant scores to us as soon as they are available.
If you have been enrolled in an academic program at a regionally accredited college or university for at least two years on a full-time basis, you are no longer required to submit high school transcripts. Please submit your college/university transcripts instead. Should you be admitted, a credential evaluation will be conducted to award appropriate transfer credits.
SAT or ACT scores
SAT or ACT scores are NOT required for admission consideration. However, an applicant may be eligible for higher scholarship award if they score above 1050 in SAT Critical Reading and Math combined sections, or above 23 in ACT. If an applicant has a SAT or ACT score, please request ETS (www.ets.org) to send official score reports to Fairleigh Dickinson University. Fairleigh Dickinson University’s SAT code is 5823, and ACT code is 2552.
Application Deadlines
Students are admitted on a “rolling basis”. Canadian students can apply and submit all required documents for the term up until 1 month before the intended program start date. Applications and all required documents for Fall 2022 will be accepted until August 1, 2022. Please refer to the FDU Vancouver Campus academic calendar for class start dates for Fall, Spring or Summer trimester.
Applicants can apply on-line for the intake that is currently open for applications. Please e-mail vancouver-admissions@fdu.edu if you would like to change your start term to the earlier term. Change of start term option is only available to students with a valid status in Canada that allows them to enroll in the academic programs. Proof of status is required.
Early Admission
High school students who are in Grade 12 can apply for early admission in January for Fall classes start. Please include a copy of your Grade 12 interim results with your on-line application
