Metro science students present research at William Paterson University symposium

Metropolitan Campus students from Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics in Becton College showcased their research from the previous academic year at William Paterson University’s Research Symposium. The long-running symposium included two poster sessions and gave researchers a chance to speak on their topics.

Bisera Lozanovska, mentored by Dr. Leonida, won second place under the topic of Nano-chemistry at the event.
Topics in which FDU students conducted research are “Nanoparticle Synthesis through Plasma Treatment of Metal Cation Solutions,” “Ionic Liquids used to Enhance Catalase,” and “Assessing the Oil Absorption Capacities and Mechanical Stabilities of Cellulose-based Areogels cross linked with various Polyfunctional Carboxylic Acids.”
