President Capuano and Caldwell named as influencers in higher education

September 19, 2022 — Fairleigh Dickinson University President Christopher Capuano and Dale Caldwell, executive director of FDU’s Rothman Institute, were named to the NJBIZ Education Power 50 list for 2022.

The NJBIZ Education Power 50 list profiles leaders at education institutions who are “responsible for managing [education] organizations, making policies that directly affect the institutions or are themselves directly responsible for imparting knowledge to students, apprentices and the citizenry at large.”

The pair was also recently named to the ROI Influencers: Higher Education list for 2022. Each year, ROI-NJ highlights the presidents, deans and directors who have the most significant influence and impact at their schools — and within the business community.

President Capuano was included as part of the Top 25 most influential presidents list and heralded for the University’s greater access and affordability under his tenure. The organization declared that “his legacy may be his desire to ensure higher education is in reach of everyone.” 

As part of the Top 25 most influential deans and directors list, ROI-NJ acknowledged Caldwell as a recognized thought leader on a variety of issues that support entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic, business and nonprofit communities.
