Press Release: Robin Williamson appointed Dean of Students for Florham Campus

Madison, N.J. (June 12, 2019) – Effective June 3, Fairleigh Dickinson University announced the appointment of Robin M. Williamson, Ph.D., to Dean of Students at FDU’s Florham Campus.

“I am thrilled to be joining FDU’s Florham Campus community and its longstanding tradition of excellence. I look forward to helping our students and campus achieve success as outlined in the strategic plan,” said Williamson.

Robin has more than 25 years of student affairs experience and has previously worked at University of South Carolina, Marquette University, Texas Christian University, and most recently, New College of Florida.

At New College of Florida, Williamson was responsible for the vision and effectiveness of the Division of Student Affairs, which included oversight of nearly 20 offices such as housing and residence life, dining services, student disability services, fitness and recreation, orientation, first year, student success and more.

“In this position, Robin will provide the leadership necessary to develop and manage a comprehensive program to engage the students on the Florham Campus,” said Brian Mauro, campus executive for FDU’s Florham Campus. “The focus will be to provide programming and unforgettable experiences for our students from orientation until they join the ranks of our more than 125,000 alumni.”

Robin received her doctorate in higher education from the University of North Texas.  She also holds a master’s degree in education from the University of South Carolina and an undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago.
