FDU hosts first-ever Teacher Appreciation Day

April 17, 2019 — Fairleigh Dickinson University honored 20 high school teachers, nominated by FDU students, at its first-ever Teacher Appreciation Day celebrations at the Metropolitan and Florham campuses on March 21 and March 28, respectively.
FDU students were asked to nominate a high school teacher who changed their life.
“Teacher Appreciation Day meant so much to me. I was able to say thank you to a teacher who has had such a large impact on my life, and it is such a beautiful feeling,” said Nina Marie Disla, a junior studying secondary education in the QUEST program at the Metropolitan Campus. “This event also helped me realize that as a future teacher, I too will have an impact on my students both inside and outside of the classroom.
