Press Release: John Niser hired to head International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management
Teaneck, N.J. (Aug 28, 2019) — Dr. John Niser has been appointed to the position of director, International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, effective August 12, 2019.
Niser most recently served as chair of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department since 2008 at Purdue University Fort Wayne. In that position, he grew enrollment and helped facilitate a 94 percent placement rate for undergraduate students.

Niser also serves as president of Hotel Schools of Distinction, a global professional development network that bridges the gap between the working world and the classroom by drawing on the insights of industry partners, preparing students to be leaders in the hospitality industry.
Previously, he served as senior advisor of Gruppo CEPU (Italy), where he was responsible for the development of the University Park Milano. From 1999 through 2005, Niser was the CEO of the Gilon Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association Hotel Management School, where he developed and managed an international enrollment structure that recruited 600 new students every six months. In his various positions, informed by his deep industry knowledge and his own research in young adult development, he has developed innovative undergraduate and graduate programs of study.
Niser received his Ph.D. from Anglia Polytechnic University in the UK.
