Academic Profile

Brittney Miranda, MSN, RN, ANCC MedSurg-BC, began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, from Dominican University in 2019. She later completed a Master of Nursing Education at Mercy University in 2024, where her graduate preparation included lesson planning, assessment development, item analysis, and teaching in a medical-surgical skills laboratory. Brittney has practiced in a variety of acute-care settings, including cardiopulmonary/stepdown, float pool, and hospital-wide nursing roles. Her clinical experience includes work at Englewood Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, and White Plains Hospital. She has also served as a nurse educator, supporting new graduate nurses, providing staff education, coordinating competency evaluations, and developing hospital-based educational programs. Brittney has additional experience teaching nursing students in clinical and health assessment laboratory settings. She is passionate about helping students strengthen clinical reasoning, communication, prioritization, and confidence as they prepare for professional nursing practice.
