Academic Profile

My career as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator has allowed me many opportunities to share my knowledge and expertise across the nursing curriculum. Teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, has permitted me to help expand my studentâ?Ts knowledge and confidence during their academic career. Being fortunate to teach nursing clinical and didactic courses helps me to provide proficiency and academic distinction to my students.

I have taught courses in Community Health, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Fundamentals, Health Assessment, Pathophysiology, Lifespan and Development, Nursing Research, Ethics, Professional Communications Adult Gerontology, Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Nursing Research, and NP Preceptor

In addition to Nursing Education, I have worked as a Profession RN and FNP in various settings such as clinics, hospitals, private medical offices, corporations, and homecare.

As an Advanced Certified Holistic Nurse with experience in various healing modalities, I have been able to volunteer these services and present nationally and internationally with regards to providing a healthy work environment in health care settings. I am an active member of Sigma Theta Tau as well as a Virginia Henderson Fellow
