Sammartino Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

There was a time when Fairleigh Dickinson University only existed as the improbable dream of a visionary man.  Against all odds, our founder and first president, Peter Sammartino – along with his talented wife Sylvia – drew on this dream to lay the foundation for what is today New Jersey’s largest private university and an institution with global impact and scope.

In honor of the life and work of this remarkable couple – and to encourage their legacy of passion for excellence in education – Fairleigh Dickinson University is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for students in our QUEST Teacher Preparation Program.  This acclaimed program leads to both a bachelor’s degree and Master of Teaching (MAT) in just five years.
