This online 4-week course develops basic health assessment skills of participants, including registered nurses prior to beginning an advanced health assessment course or who are transitioning to a career in which these skills are requisite. Participants will develop competencies in identifying, describing, and recording normal physical examination findings.
Participants navigate the online content at their own pace, but they need to complete the coursework within one month from the start date. Upon completion of the online coursework, participants are required to take a practicum and final examination. The practicum exam can be administered and proctored by FDU faculty online or in person (additional $25 fee at time of exam) or may be administered by an approved provider of the participant’s choice (no additional fee). Successful completion of the course includes obtaining passing grades on both the final exam and final practicum.
Participants will be given access to an FDU email address upon registration. Participants will be added to the online course in FDU Blackboard on the first day of class. Please check your FDU email once registered, as participants will receive their invitation to the course via FDU email.
