Room Selection Timeline (April)
Wednesday, April 1st, 2026: Fall 2026 Housing Application DEADLINE
Wednesday, April 1st, 2026: Requesting Roommate Feature Goes LIVE
Wednesday, April 8th, 2026: Priority Room Selection Day/Times Announced
Wednesday, April 15th, 2026: Priority Room Selection Day
Thursday, April 16th, 2026: Priority Room Selection Day
Friday, April 17th, 2026: General Room Selection Day
During the Room Selection process in April, there are 2 days which students can select their room – Priority Room Selection Day and General Room Selection.

Priority Room Selection Day
Priority Room selection day is for residents to select a room on-campus for the following academic year that submitted their housing application April 1st deadline. Based on the number of completed credits (does not include credits in progress during the Spring semester), each applicant will be assigned a specific time to log-in and select their room/roommate. Students will have the ability to view rooms prior to their selection time but will not be able to choose a room until their assigned selection time.
General Room Selection
This room selection period is for commuter students and resident students who did not submit their housing application by April 1st.
Selecting a Room
Commuter and Study Abroad Students
Commuter and study abroad students that submitted their housing application by April 1st deadline are eligible to participate in Priority Room Selection Day.
First-Year & New Students
First-year & new students will be assigned a room and roommate by Housing and Residence Life based on availability and are not eligible for Room Selection process.
Housing Deposits
A nonrefundable Residence Hall Deposit ($200) is required for first year resident students and new resident students.
Note 1: All EOF students and Full Scholarship Athletes will have their Residence Hall Deposits ($200) waived by their respective office. If you are unsure of your status, please contact the office you are affiliated with directly to get confirmation.
Paying Your Deposit Online:
All deposit payments can be made directly at Touchnet.
Step 1 – Select “Deposit Payments Only”
Step 2 – From drop-down menu, select “H. Residence Hall Deposit Only”
Step 3 – Submit Payment
Please keep a copy of the receipt for your records.
*Applications submitted without a Residence Hall Deposit may not be processed.
Housing Modification Requests
Students with disabilities that require a specific type of housing assignment to ensure equal access to the housing program may request a housing accommodation by submitting the proper paperwork to the Disability Support Services Office, who will then make a recommendation to the Housing and Residence Life. Students that have applied for, and been approved, for a housing accommodation will only have access to ADA compliant and/or medical single rooms that they are approved for.
Administrative Assignments
Students that apply after General Room Selection ends or do not select a room during the room selection process will automatically be assigned a room and roommate by Housing and Residence Life.
