Domestic Tuition Fees

Domestic Tuition and Fees for the 2025-2026 Academic Year  

Domestic tuition and fees apply to students who meet any of the following criteria: 

  • You are a Canadian citizen 
  • You are a permanent resident of Canada 
  • You have refugee or protected status in Canada 
  • You have a diplomatic visa in Canada
  • You are a dependent of a diplomat in Canada
  • You, your parent/legal guardian, or your spouse have a valid Canadian work permit meeting the criteria below

Document Requirements and Deadline 

  • Canadian citizen: Canadian Passport 
  • Permanent resident of Canada: Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) or Canadian Permanent Resident Card  
  • Refugee or Protected Status in Canada: Notice of Decision issued by the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. 
  • Diplomat or dependent of a diplomat in Canada: Diplomatic visa or identity card in Canada.
  • Canadian work permit holder or dependent of a work permit holder:
    • Valid Canadian work permit(s) for a continuous period of three (3) years immediately prior to the start date of the next academic term,
    • Proof that you, your parent/guardian, or your spouse have resided in Canada for at least three (3) years, and
    • Proof of legal dependent relationship (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate) if you are a dependent of a work permit holder.

Students are required to provide the Office of Enrollment Services with the appropriate documents verifying their status before the first day of the term to be assessed domestic tuition and fees. 

Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Vancouver uses a fixed exchange rate for domestic students to calculate tuition and fees. The 2025 – 2026 exchange rate for domestic students is $1.35. This fixed exchange rate is updated every July.  

Undergraduate Programs 

Vancouver undergraduate programs are 120-122 credits in length and require 8 academic terms to complete, usually over the course of 4 years.

 The estimated cost for each academic year for books, supplies, and equipment varies depending upon the curriculum. You may be able to reduce this cost by purchasing used textbooks or e-textbooks. 

Graduate Programs 

 Vancouver graduate programs are 30 credits in length and require 4 academic terms to complete, usually over the course of 16 to 24 months.

*Application Fee 
All students applying to the university for the first time and all students reapplying after a lapse of one or more years will be charged the application fee of $135.00, which will not be refunded or credited to the tuition. 

 ***Transcripts 
Each transcript costs $7.00 USD, plus $1 USD Secure Electronic PDF fee and $2.90 USD Online Processing fee for each transcript recipient. 

 **** Estimated program cost 
Does not include English for Professional Success (EPS) courses, foundation courses, and fees. The required number of credits is 30 for MAS, MHMS, and MSACS, and 36 for MHA.

Does not include any financial aid or scholarships awarded to the student.

This course is mandatory for students in the MHMS program and is only offered as a field-course format with associated lab fee during summer terms.

Foundation courses that students may have to take prior to taking MSACS courses as per their admissions requirements. 

CSCI 8891 internship course

Optional course for students planning to do a one-term internship.

††CSCI 8892 and CSCI 8893 internship courses

Optional courses for students planning to do a two-term internship. Students must take both CSCI 8892 and CSCI 8893. Only ONE internship option is allowed, either the 3-credit or the two 1.5-credit internships.
