Faculty Spotlight: Jarrett Bachman Elected to the Board of Directors of go2HR 

We are proud to announce that Dr. Jarrett Bachman, professor and program coordinator of our Master of Hospitality Management Studies, has been elected to the Board of Directors of go2HR for the 2026–2028 term. This election took place at the 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of go2HR, held on June 11, 2026, and represents a significant milestone for both Jarrett and our academic community. 

go2HR is the leading HR and health and safety association for the hospitality and tourism industry in British Columbia. The organization plays a vital role in supporting businesses and workers across the province by providing resources, training, and advocacy in the areas of human resources and workplace health and safety. Its Board of Directors is composed of experienced industry leaders, including General Managers, business owners, HR Directors, and Vice Presidents from hospitality and tourism companies throughout BC. 

Jarrett’s election to this distinguished Board is a testament to his expertise, leadership, and deep commitment to the hospitality and tourism sector. His active involvement in go2HR will not only strengthen the connection between our program and the industry but will also bring valuable real-world insights directly into the classroom, benefiting our students and the overall quality of our Master of Hospitality Management Studies program. 

At FDU Vancouver, we believe that faculty engagement with industry organizations is essential to keeping our programs relevant, dynamic, and aligned with the evolving needs of the professional world. Jarrett’s new role is a perfect example of this philosophy in action, and we look forward to seeing the impact of his contributions both within go2HR and within our academic community.
