Research Compliance at Fairleigh Dickinson University

The Office of Grants and Sponsored Projects (GSP) partners with faculty, staff, and students to promote responsible research practices and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, sponsor, and University requirements. Whether your research involves human participants, animals, international collaborations, sponsored funding, or other regulated activities, GSP provides the resources and guidance needed to help you conduct research responsibly and confidently.
Research compliance is a shared responsibility. Investigators are expected to understand and comply with applicable regulations, obtain required approvals before beginning research, complete required training, and conduct research in accordance with University policies and sponsor requirements.
Researcher Responsibilities
All individuals engaged in research at Fairleigh Dickinson University are responsible for:
- Conducting research with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Obtaining all required approvals before beginning research activities.
- Completing required research compliance training.
- Complying with applicable federal, state, sponsor, and University requirements.
- Maintaining required approvals and certifications throughout the life of a project.
- Promptly reporting changes requiring review or approval.
- Protecting the rights, welfare, privacy, and safety of research participants, animals, and research data.
