Research Compliance Training
Fairleigh Dickinson University is committed to promoting the responsible and ethical conduct of research. To support this commitment, the University requires faculty, staff, students, and other research personnel to complete applicable research compliance training based on their research activities, funding source, and regulatory requirements.
The University utilizes the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program to deliver required research compliance training. Depending on the type of research conducted and an individual’s role on a project, training may include topics such as:
- Human Subjects Research
- Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
- Animal Care and Use
- Conflict of Interest
- Export Controls
- Research Security
- Biosafety
- HIPAA
- Laboratory Chemical Safety
Training requirements vary by research activity and individual role. Researchers are responsible for completing all required training before engaging in research activities and maintaining current certifications as required by University policy and sponsor requirements.
