“When I received the acceptance letter to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Vancouver Campus, I was determined to forge a path on my own . . . With this determination, my fellow students made me president of the Model United Nations Association. I also became a research assistant for the Modernist Versions Project . . .The pursuit of an international education that FDU has fostered for all of us allowed me to live in New York City to study at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus. Moreover, I also attended Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and represented Canada at the Global Youth Trends Forum in Taipei . . .
. . . From the first moment we stepped into our small campus, our minds have been sculpted not just from our studies, but also from each other. I can attest that we all are better for it. Our collective experiences create for us a sense of community that is unique to the Vancouver campus and which we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.”

“Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Vancouver Campus is a place where I see myself growing every day. Looking back to when I first started in 2016, I was culturally unaware. I came to FDU with the pride of a Vietnamese whilst neglecting a global outlook. Nevertheless, as I study here, I am continuously exposed to the cultural mosaic that I am constantly falling in love with. FDU raises my awareness of cultural uniqueness and encourages me to be culturally appreciative. To me, this is an essential skill that I’m glad to learn. In class, I was taught by erudite professors who have in-depth knowledge in their fields of studies. I remember being delighted and excited when going to Dr. Gifford’s classes, knowing that his vast knowledge and inspiration would open up my mind further. Knowing that I will obtain new knowledge every day when I go to class makes me tingle with excitement! FDU is a warm and open institution and I’m glad to belong here.”
