Bookstore Voucher Process

You can submit a request for a bookstore voucher through DocuSign. Fall 2025 Bookstore vouchers will become available beginning August 4, 2025.

The Bookstore Voucher process allows students to use a portion of their financial aid refund in the FDU Follett Bookstore if there is an excess credit from Financial Aid for the term after tuition, room and board, and fees are deducted. Please make sure to accept all of your financial aid before requesting your voucher. The student’s account will be charged in the amount of the book voucher, which may reduce the amount of any financial aid refund that the student may receive for the semester. However, if you decide not to use the voucher, the funds will be returned to your account. If you do not use the full amount of the voucher, your account will be credited to reflect your actual purchases.

Once your request is received, we will review your account to verify a credit balance to issue a Bookstore Voucher. Students who have a balance from a previous term, either current or in collections, will not be eligible to participate.

The Bookstore Voucher may not be used for rentals or purchases outside of the Fairleigh Dickinson University bookstore.

Bookstore vouchers will only be issued for the amount of excess funds on your account up to $1,000 per semester. If a student’s enrollment status is reduced from full-time to part-time or aid eligibility is otherwise affected after receipt of a bookstore voucher, the resulting change may cause the student to owe a balance to the University. These balances are the sole responsibility of the student.

An email from Follet will be sent to the student’s email account when the funds are available to use, which will typically be within 24 business hours.

If you have excess federal funds that you need to purchase books outside of FDU Follett Bookstore, please contact the Office of Enrollment Services at Florham Email (esmadfdu@fdu.edu) or Metro Email (esteafdu@fdu.edu).
