Florham Campus Orientation
Welcome to FDU Florham Campus Summer 2026 New Student Orientation. New friendships and fun start at the orientation experience! There are several orientation dates to choose from starting June 25th! Select one on-campus orientation session to attend then register quickly to secure your place. Contact the First Year Experience Office at FlorhamOrientation@fdu.edu for assistance.
Orientation Registration
Use our online 2026 Orientation Registration to let us know which Orientation date you prefer to attend. The earlier you register for Orientation, the more likely you will receive your first choice. Space at Orientation sessions is limited.
Parent & Family Orientation occurs simultaneously with Student Orientation on the dates listed below. You, the student, will add your parent/family/guest information when filling out the registration form.
Note: All sessions are in person. Registration closes when at capacity, or a week prior to each session date, depending on which occurs first.

- meeting classmates
- interacting with current students

Welcome Weekend Programs for all First Year Students take place the weekend of August 21-23, 2026
Welcome Weekend is a continuation of your summer 2026 Orientation. You are expected to attend and will receive a calendar of events at Orientation. As part of Welcome Weekend, there will be free bus trips to NYC. Off campus trips will take place on Saturday, August 22nd. Trip sign up opens on Thursday, August 20th at the Student Center Information Desk at 10am.
Past trips have included The Bronx Zoo, Museum of Natural History, and NY Aquarium.
During Welcome Weekend, students can expect to learn and experience:
- What it means to be a college student
- Information on university and academic resources
- University policy and procedures
- University systems (WebCampus, Self-Service, and WebMail)
- The FDU and Florham Campus culture
- Getting involved on campus

Helpful Hints
- Resident students are strongly encouraged to contact Enrollment Services, 973-443-8600, several days prior to check-in to verify your clearance status.
- Also, please ensure all medical clearances are completed with Student Health Services at 973-443-8535 before arriving on campus.

After you attend Orientation, you will receive a link to complete some follow up items including an evaluation and online module. These links will be sent only to your FDU email address. This module is designed to complement your Orientation experience and will provide more information on how to succeed academically and socially during your time at FDU. Please be sure to complete the module in a timely manner.
