Accounting Society
The duty of the FDU Accounting Society is to help FDU students, both accounting and non-accounting majors, understand, prepare, and use financial information by linking accounting education with the “real world”. During each semester, the Accounting Society invites accounting firms, companies, organizations and other accounting societies to visit campus and present to the club. Named “Organization of the Year” at the 12th Annual Maddy Awards, presented by the Student Government Association.
The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Student Chapter (Bailliage)
We have a uniquely close partnership with the world’s oldest and most prestigious culinary/hospitality arts society, “The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs“, whose national headquarters are located with our School at our Florham Campus. The Chaine offers our students and graduates unique employment opportunities with some of the industry’s top leaders.
The purpose of the student chapter is to assist students in engaging with the vast professional network of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs through food and wine culture and history.
The goal of the Bailliage is to demonstrate the core values of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, which is preserving the camaraderie and pleasures of the table and to promoting excellence in all areas of the hospitality arts.

As the oldest gastronomic society in the world, the mission of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is to promote camaraderie and exceptional food, wine and crafted beverage experiences, while promoting the education and artistry of our professional members.

The FDU Marketing Club is open to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors. The purposes of this club are to foster students’ knowledge in the field of marketing, provide students with opportunities to enhance leadership and marketing skills, and promote relationships between students, faculty, and business professionals.
Student Managed Investment Fund Club (SMIF)
The purpose of the undergraduate Student Managed Investment Fund Club is to educate and provide a forum for students who are interested in the finance industry. Members will have an opportunity to pitch real investment strategies and invest real money.

The Hospitality Society is a student activity designed to support professionalism and the hospitality management curriculum. Through co-curricular activities and experiences (guest lectures, field trips, community service off and on campus, and bonding), students have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.
Mission Statement
To build and strengthen relationships, professionalism, and appreciation for the hospitality industry among its students, alumni, and supporters of the International School of Hospitality, Sports and Tourism Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University. The driving force of this society will stem from the needs of its members so as to aid in the development of the students through networking, scholarship opportunities, and career-enhancing experiences.

Club Management Association of America
Established in 1927, the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) is the professional association for managers of membership clubs. With close to 7000 members across all classifications, our manager members run more than 2500 country, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town, and military clubs (CMAA website). The New Jersey Chapter of the CMAA has been instrumental in the growth of our student chapter, which provides opportunities for:
- Educational and Professional Development
- Mentorship
- Networking with nearby club managers
- Participating in NJCMA events and educational meetings
- Exchanging information on issues of concern
- Attending National Student Conference and World Conference
- Scholarships provided by the New Jersey Club Foundation to qualifying students
The Fairleigh Dickinson University student chapter is the only student chapter based in the state. Our chapter offers opportunities for students to learn about the private club industry and club management professions. Through attending meetings and events and by gaining practical experience through internships, being a student member of CMAA is a great way to gain professional experience.

Beta Alpha Psi International (BAP)
Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals.
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Students who are selected into Beta Gamma Sigma will receive an invitation and have an opportunity to attend a ceremony in the spring.
Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society
Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) is the international honor society that recognizes exceptional academic and service achievement among hospitality and tourism students. It is administered by I-CHRIE, the leading international association devoted to hospitality and tourism education, with over 100 chapters worldwide. Students are required to possess a 3.0 GPA or higher, and commit to five points of honor: leadership, creativity, excellence, service, and ethics.

New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association (NJCBAA)
The New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association (NJCBAA) is a statewide honor society for students studying business at both the two and four year colleges in New Jersey. Each year, the top 1% of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in business will be extended an invitation to join this most prestigious honor society. The NJCBAA members are proud to be able to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of our young business professionals.
Order of the Sword and Shield National Honor Society
The Order of the Sword and Shield National Honor Society has members in the fields of homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, and all protective security disciplines. FDU’s School of Public and Global Affairs admits inductees each year who are current students in the graduate programs of:

Pi Alpha Alpha Society (PAA)
The Pi Alpha Alpha Society honors outstanding students in the fields of public administration, public policy, and public affairs.
These exceedingly intelligent students are today’s public servants and tomorrow’s leaders. They have already proven their dedication to their studies and will soon be leaders in our government, nonprofit, and healthcare organizations. Now more than ever we need these devoted public servants to be stewards of transparency, quality, compassion, and excellence in our communities and for our country.
PAA Qualifications
FDU’s School of Public and Global Affairs admits inductees each year who are current students in the Master of Public Administration graduate program.
A graduate student may be inducted from among the master’s degree students who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.7 for 50 percent of the required coursework (a minimum of 21 credits must be completed). A GPA of 3.67 or above can be rounded up to qualify. Classes in process at the time of application are not considered.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted and payments made only to the School of Public and Global Affairs at the link below, not directly to the PAA Society.
- Application deadline (March 15). Students must apply at the FDU APPLY AND PAY link below and pay the fee. SPGA will process the application with PAA. Students will become PAA members automatically when their certificates are ordered.
- Induction ceremony (April). FDU will schedule an induction ceremony and will invite inductees to attend. Students may invite family members with their event link. Students are asked to reserve their attendance no later than one week prior to the event.
- Certificates. The School of Public and Global Affairs will distribute certificates at the ceremony if held in person and will mail uncollected certificates after the ceremony to students at the address specified on the application.

Upsilon Phi Delta
The purpose of the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to advance the professional competence and dedication of the individual members in the profession of healthcare management. It is a member service of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
Qualifications
FDU’s School of Public and Global Affairs admits inductees each year who are:
- Current students in the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) graduate program
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 based on at least 18 hours of graduate
- 18 credits must be completed coursework and not to include courses in progress
How to Apply
- Apply: Applications due February 21, Once a year potential inductees can complete an application and pay the induction fee via the link below.
- Fee: The $45.00 induction fee includes a certificate, pin, and graduation gown cord. Must be paid by credit card with the application below.
- Ceremony: FDU will schedule an induction ceremony in April and will invite inductees to attend. Students may invite family members with their event link. Students are asked to reserve their attendance no later than one week prior to the event.
- Certificates: Certificates, pins and cords will be distributed at the ceremony if held in person. All uncollected items will be mailed after the ceremony to students at the address specified on the application.
