FAQs

How can I check the status of my application?

Log in to your applicant portal and regularly check your Application Status Page for the latest updates on your application. You will receive email notifications with important status updates throughout the process.

How long does it take to receive a decision on an application?

Processing times vary. Most programs take up to one week. Programs like MHMS may take longer due to the interview process.

My application status hasn’t changed in over 2 weeks. Should I be concerned?

Not necessarily. Some programs have longer review times. It may also mean documents are pending. Check your Application Status Page or contact vancouver-admissions@fdu.edu.

I’ve been asked to submit additional documents. How will that affect the processing time?

Submitting additional documents ensures your application is complete and can proceed in the review process. Your application will remain on hold until all requested materials are received, after which it will move forward for review.

What does the MHMS interview process involve?

The interviewer evaluates your communication skills, knowledge of the program, and how your professional goals align with the program’s values. It’s also an opportunity for you to demonstrate your motivation and suitability for the MHMS program.

For inquiries, please contact us at vancouver-admissions@fdu.edu and include your full name and application ID. Please contact us from the same email address listed on your application.

When do I need to fulfill the conditions on my offer?

Different conditions may be subject to different timelines for fulfillment:

  • Certain conditions, such as completion of English Placement Test (EPT) and/or Math Placement Test (MPT) need to be met before course registration and the start of your studies at FDU Vancouver. If you have these conditions, no immediate action is required upon receiving the acceptance letter. You will receive further instructions closer to the program start date.
  • Some conditions, such as completion of foundation courses, should be fulfilled during your first term of studies at FDU Vancouver. If you have these conditions, no immediate action is required upon receiving the acceptance letter. These requirements will be addressed as part of your academic planning.
